see folks...it's really not that hard to get a dofollow comment approved. takes about 30 seconds to a minute to glance at the article and make a topical comment.

This is great! I had no idea that dofollow blogging could be so effective in improving your pagerank or blog popularity. I am eager to learn more. You've found yourself a loyal reader, for sure.
Thanks, Rake.

Luis,

only times i've seen people get penalized is when they are doing gimmicky things. because pr is such a lagging indicator, i truly doubt you could get your pr penalized...much less, even know it if you did....much less than that even, be able to narrow it down to a particular action, instance, or link even if you did.

in other words, i don't 'buy' that downloading a piece of s/w is going to make a page hosted on a different (host) machine bleed pagerank. doesn't pass the smell test.

The search for PR can cost you PR.
I downloaded the free version of a soft which finds dofollow blogs AND signed up for a free membership to receive weekly links to HIGH PR sites. RESULT = penalised by google.
WATCH OUT.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I do dofollow on my blog, but I need to approve first in case someone wants to be really "irrelevant". Basically what Google looks at is how relevant your linking is, so I even approve pingbacks in case someone wants to pull my content in an inappropriate category.

Nice topic. This article gives the light in which we can observe the reality. I agree with Liz. It takes time, patience and perseverance. Thanks
